Jools Warner writes character-driven fantasy, speculative and spooky fiction set in worlds where the mundane and the uncanny overlap. She works on the assumptions that the whole world is alive with magic and that the unseen demands acknowledgement and integration. Her personal and creative interests revolve around challenges faced in solitude and in connection, and the healing that arrives by walking the spiralling steps of the heart’s path.

Jools has an MA in Creative Writing and a Ph.D in Death Studies. She is also a professional tarot and intuitive reader, and runs workshops on writing and tarot. Her debut novel Ernie and the Mage-Killer was published in 2024 by Bellows Press, and republished by Sul Books in 2025.
