Herbal Healing Workshop with Emma Kathryn (20 March)

From Emma’s description of the Workshop:
Working with plants is one way we can connect with nature on a deeper level. Doing so is not just about taking plants and using them, but is instead entrenched in building a meaningful relationship with the land where we live and realising we are a part of nature, not something else separate from it.
One way we can work with plants is by creating simple medicines to help ease common ailments and that’s what you’ll be learning to do during this workshop. Many over the counter medicines available today do not cure these ailments and illnesses but rather treat the symptoms of them and instead of relying on the pharmaceutical industry, we can do this ourselves, quite easily in fact.
During the course of the workshop you learn how to harvest and prepare a range of plant ingredients as well as how to make medicines to help soothe a range of complaints including skeletal and muscular pain, skin conditions, sore throats, coughs, colds and many more.
The workshop will last for around 1 ½ hours and will include a Q&A session at the end.
